Men’s Shed at Neeld Hall

We were delighted to be invited back as an exhibitor to the Neeld Community and Arts Centre, High Street, Chippenham, organised by Ollie Phipps Wiltshire Community engagement officer. This gave us another opportunity to talk to the residents about what the Chippenham Men's Shed and what sheds are about. It was great to see some of our shedders visit our stand to support us.

This is what men's sheds are about!

Members of Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life – the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and would like something meaningful to do with that time. The Men’s Shed movement has now become one of the most powerful tools in addressing health and wellbeing and helping men to once again become valued and productive members of our community.

I am pleased to report that we had an excellent afternoon with Chippenham Town Bowls Club on Thursday 19th May. Thoroughly enjoyed by all those who took part.

I am also pleased to announce that I have secured speakers from The Wiltshire Fire Service and The Wiltshire Bobby Van to come to the Shed on Tuesday 21st June to give us all a talk on Fire Safety and Security. More details to follow in due course, we will produce a flyer to send out to the Membership about the above!
